Herb Amount (Gram) Ephedra (Herba Ephedrae) - 麻黄 (má huáng) 9g Cinnamon Twig (Ramulus Cinnamomi) - 桂枝 (guì zhī) 9g Apricot Kernel (Semen Armeniacae) - 杏仁 (xìng rén) 12g Baked Licorice Root (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) - 炙甘草 (zhì gān cǎo) 6g
Safety/Precautions:
Ma Huang is usually taken as a combination with other herbs Ma Huang should not be used in small children, or women with pregnancy or lactating. Avoid in people with high blood pressure or have any form of heart, kidney or liver disease. Do not ingest along with caffeine, caffeine containing herbs, or drugs/herbs that affect or stimulate the central nervous system. Some herbs in this list include (but are not limited to): Guaraná, ginseng, eleuthero (also known as Siberian Ginseng), Máte or Sida cordifolia.
